Hello, and welcome to the Disclaimer for all the Character Profiles for the characters in Verses. My name is Dis, which is short for Disclaimer. As in the document you are reading. As in the document you SHOULD read before proceeding into Verses. I was created by Lords KingLion (The author. Not the character you will soon meet. Although they are the same) and MidnightDre at the direction of the God of Fiction. He has granted them this knowledge and permitted them to bestow it onto you. Be grateful, dear reader. This is for your benefit. This welcome serves the purpose of describing some of the systems within Verses and how they affect the worlds outside of it. If you choose to not read this, as you humans often do with other Terms and Conditions, KingLion, MidnightDre, and any other reader who did take the time to read this, cannot be blamed for your lack of understanding and the inevitable loss(es) you will surely take in debates involving Verses characters. You have been warned.
Fictional
Sealing
This section of the Disclaimer (me) is dedicated to the descriptions for some of the abilities of characters in Verses. These sections will tell you how these inherent abilities work and affect characters both in and out of Verses seeing as you humans love to have cross-verse battles and debate amongst yourselves. This was done for your benefit so you wouldn’t have to read the same information repeatedly, which saves you time but costs me space. Be thankful to Lords KingLion (Again. The author. Not the character you will soon meet.) and MidnightDre as well as the God of Fiction for bestowing this information on you. I’m sure some of you will ignore this though and complain about your favorite character losing a fight when you came ill-prepared for the debate.
In Verses, there is an inherent skill held by all resonators known as Fictional Sealing. This qualifies a character to be a resonator and obtaining it is a rite of passage to be granted the title. This ability allows the resonator to seal anything in fiction. It doesn’t matter what it is. If it is written in fiction, a resonator can seal it back in its book and close its pages. This is done by creating an aura representation of the book where the target is from in their vicinity. The book then opens and when the resonator claps their hands, the target is sealed within their book. This book is still a representation of their story, and should this book take damage, the story contained within the book takes damage as well.
Access &
Speed
In Verses, characters have levels where they can access certain skills and abilities. These are marked on their character sheets which you WILL need to reference lest you find yourself ill-equipped to debate on these characters. Attached to some of these skills is a skill speed. This is not the speed at which the skill is activated, but the minimum speed at which it occurs and travels. Any skill without a (Spd:_____) next to it occurs instantaneously.
Level
/
Skill
Effects
Some resonators in verses have skills that affect the level and/skills of their target(s). These skills can usually only be used on targets on or below their level for full effectiveness, and at some penalty when used on a character above their level. However, there are some resonators that either ignore this restriction or have some skill that allows their allies or them to ignore it.
Additionally, these level/skill effects are NOT limited to characters in Verses. If you humans were to create a versus or death battle involving a Verses character, these level/skill effects will be applied to the levels, transformations, evolutions, and forms of the character that they have been pitted against. For example, if you were to put another character that has (insert transformation name here) level 5, has transformed into a new status or form, and or evolved into a new form in an evolution chain up against Verses character has a skill that reduces levels, those level reductions and subsequent effects will be applied to that other character as well.
The same logic applies to skills. If a Verses character, is fighting a character from another fictional universe and the Verses character has a skill that steals, copies, seals, or destroys the skills of others, the same effect will be applied to that other character so long as their skill/attack has a name. So do keep that in mind when trying to put a Verses character in a cross-verse battle.
