This section is dedicated to the Scaling System, and I hope this will help you to comprehend things in the easiest way possible. Happy reading!

Comedy & Defiance  —

Comedy

This section of the LVL System is dedicated to the nigh impossible feat of reaching a level beyond the aforementioned levels of the system. These new “levels” are more like designations and function as a guideline for their newfound powers to work outside of the bounds of the story as you know it dear reader. These designations are known as Comedy and Defiance and work as polar opposites of each other while also working in concert. One cannot exist without the other and yet they are in constant conflict. Here you will learn the difference between the two.

When a character breaks the level gauge and is designated as a Comedic character, sense, reason, and logic cease to apply to their actions. The laws of physics or reality itself do not apply to their thoughts. They make the rules and laws as they see fit. The only limitation for this character is their imagination. They may simply do as they wish because it pleases them or makes them laugh. They quite literally laugh in the face of rational thought.

The actions of characters under this designation are more exaggerated and cartoon-like in nature. Impacts are in seen by the sound they make with visible onomatopoeia. Anything they need can be pulled from anywhere they want. Their forms also take on a bit of a change as they become more toon-like as well, but this change is not permanent and will be reverted once the power of Comedy has been brought under their full control and understanding. But also, when using comedy this ability allows a character to go above the book ITSELF, they can break panels they can tear up pages. They can even skip to the beginning of a book or the end or leave the book altogether. Also, characters that use comedy are immune to being erased, destroyed or forgotten even the pencil or the pin is no match for these characters. This is as long as they have a tether, or that the thought of their existence exists in worlds above their pages these characters cannot be Forgotten, deleted, or erased

The only characters that can affect Comedic characters are those of the Defiant Designation.

Defiance 

The comedy and defiant designations are states of being. 

This means that the characters can go in and out of comedy or defiance at will there is no limit, nor is there a drawback

When a character breaks the level gauge and is designated as a Defiant character, sense, reason, and logic cease to apply to their actions. Laws no longer matter. Rules are broken. Meaning and reason cannot be purchased on them. There is no barrier, physical, mental, imaginary, metaphysical, or otherwise that can be placed in their path. They simply defy all that is put in front of them. The only things that can touch them are what they allow to touch them. Do not be mistaken, dear reader. They ALLOW forces and rules to touch them, but there is NOTHING that can stop them.

The actions of characters under this designation are unstoppable by all forces. Their will truly is done on the planes upon which they walk. Should anything try to defy their will, it is broken by their will. As long as they maintain their sense of self and defiance in the face of all other forces, they will continue to defy all others.  Their forms do not change, but this state of being is extremely hard to control as the character must constantly maintain concentration on the forces, rules, and laws that they are allowing on their person. For example, should the character want to remain on the surface of the planet, they must maintain a constant hold on the force of gravity. This becomes easier to control with time and effort. as an added bonus of defiance if this character would be deleted, erase or destroyed, defiance allows the character to resist and allows the character to defy, erase rather it come from a pencil or a pen this is because as long as there is a memory or a thought, outside of the pages where this characters memory exist, they can never be destroyed defiance also allows the character to break the pages if need be destroy the book altogether and when fighting a character that uses defiance, it is impossible to run away, or flee the scene from them

The only characters that can affect Defiant characters are those of the Comedy Designation.
